China has added a major new landmark to its fast‑growing indoor snowsports sector with the opening of what is being described as the world’s largest indoor dry‑ski resort, a full‑scale training and recreation complex built in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

Designed and fully delivered by Snow Monkey, from early concept work through to materials supply and final installation, the project marks one of the company’s most ambitious end‑to‑end builds to date. The facility serves the densely populated and economically powerful Jiangsu–Zhejiang–Shanghai region, giving skiers year‑round access to a modern, snow‑free training environment.

At the heart of the centre is a 60‑metre dry ski slope, 10 metres wide, engineered for consistent glide and suitable for alpine technique work, gate training, slopestyle fundamentals and general public use. Two Big Air jumps one at six metres, the other at three metres provide progression options for freestyle athletes, while an auxiliary slope of nearly 30 metres supports beginner lessons and daily practice.

Operators say the venue is designed to deliver long‑term efficiency: with dry‑slope materials replacing the need for snowmaking, the resort requires only a single upfront investment and avoids the ongoing operational costs associated with real‑snow production. For users, the result is a comfortable, predictable surface suitable for everything from first‑time instruction to advanced drills.
