Dry Slope Material Finds Second Purpose In Snowmobile Storage
In the evolving landscape of mountain operations, adaptable technical solutions are becoming increasingly valuable for ski resorts. One example is Neveplast Lift, a system originally designed to solve a long‑standing challenge, managing snow in lift loading and unloading zones, is now proving equally effective in a very different setting: snowmobile garages.
Snowmobile handling and storage is a daily but often overlooked part of resort logistics. Many garages still rely on temporary wooden platforms or improvised flooring that restrict maneuverability, demand extra physical effort from operators, and limit how efficiently space can be used. Access tends to be linear, movements are constrained, and overall organisation suffers.
The introduction of Neveplast flooring inside these facilities marks a notable shift. By creating a seamless transition between outdoor snow and indoor technical flooring, snowmobiles can move directly into the garage without steps, friction points, or changes in level. The result is smoother, safer, and faster handling.

Operational gains are immediate: freer movement even in tight spaces, the ability to turn or reverse with ease, better use of available square metres, improved cleanliness and organisation, and reduced wear on runners thanks to a stable engineered surface. In practice, the system transforms garages from simple storage rooms into efficient operational hubs.
Val Gardena offers a clear example. At Passo Sella, Igor Marzola has doubled his garage capacity, from four snowmobiles to eight, simply by improving maneuverability and adopting more flexible parking layouts. Similar improvements have been reported elsewhere. At Colere, daily operations have become quicker and more fluid, particularly during entry and exit. At Monte Pora, the upgrade has brought a noticeable increase in order and functionality, prompting the resort to consider expanding its facilities using the same solution.

Beyond efficiency, the flooring contributes to a safer and more professional working environment, an important factor in mountain settings where timing and coordination are critical. The protective effect on snowmobile runners also reduces mechanical stress, helping extend equipment life and lower maintenance needs.
This new application highlights the versatility of Neveplast Lift. What began as a solution for lift infrastructure is now addressing broader operational challenges, offering resorts a practical, scalable way to improve everyday logistics—an evolution driven directly by field experience and real‑world needs.
