Brazilian Ski Centre Fully Booked For 6 Months

The popularity of a new indoor ski centre that’s opened in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, is such that it’s reported to have been fully booked for six months since opening.

Born to Ski, located in Vila Olímpia in the district of Itaim Bibi, operates two 5090 SkiMachines from SkiMachine is helping bring snowsports to Brazil, a country which only rarely sees snowfall on its southern uplands, but sends a lot of skiers to regular ski areas in Argentina and Chile, as well as northern hemisphere ski regions.

Born To Ski brings a fresh, boutique energy to São Paulo’s growing snowsports scene. Tucked into Vila Olímpia, it offers a sleek, urban take on ski and snowboard training, built around the SkiMachines and personalised coaching. The focus is on technique, balance and confidence, making it ideal for beginners, families and travellers preparing for trips to the mountains.

Its small‑group and one‑to‑one format gives it a premium, fitness‑studio feel that fits the neighbourhood’s lifestyle culture.

The centre also works with Brazil’s National Ski Federation to give skiing a boost in Brazil. Interest in snowsports have been growing there with Brazilian Norwegian ski racer Lucas Pinheiro Braathen taking the country’s first World Cup win in Levi last November.

SkiMachine also supplied two of their 60110 machines, 6 meters wide with an 11 meters long ski surface, to the city’s private Beyond the Club multi sports centre which also features tennis, football, a games room, skatepark and an eye catching wave pool.

São Paulo’s snow sports scene is set to keep growing with a major real‑snow indoor snow centre on the way, developed by Gramado Parks, the team behind the country’s only existing indoor snow centre, Snowland. Planned for 2026–27, it will feature skiing, snowboarding, tubing and family snow areas, becoming Brazil’s largest indoor winter attraction.
