Asia’s First Ski, Surf and Skate Centre Coming To Singapore

A new complex that includes skiing conveyor machines is to be built at Orchard Road in Singapore.
Known as Trifecta by The Ride Side and billed as “Asia’s first snow, surf and skate attraction” the complex is due to open in 2023.

The project is the work of Singapore’s own adventure sports company The Ride Side, who have built a reputation for organising overseas snowboarding camps, skating and surf workshops and bringing in all board, skate and apparel brands.
“Our vision for Trifecta by The Ride Side was a simple one – we wanted to bring the mountains and the waves to the urban centre of Singapore. We are thrilled to share our passion for snowboarding, skiing, and skating with everyone, and we hope that by challenging them with new experiences, we will also be able to provide them with a new avenue for self-expression,” Daphne Goh, co-founder of The Ride Side, told local media.

The ski slopes will feature, “speed simulation and directional movements so you’ll feel just like you’re speeding down a natural mountain,” the promotional material for the project claims.
The surf arena will have a permanent wave thanks to deep water wave pool technology which can produce water columns up to 1.5 metres (five feet) high.
