Glasgow Ski Centre Replaces Slope

One of Scotland and the UK’s largest dry ski centres, Glasgow Ski and Snowboard Centre, has replaced the surface of its main slope.

The facility, on Bellahouston Park only minutes away from central Glasgow, originally opened in 1968, and was extended in 2008.

Glasgow Ski Centre boasts three slopes: a 100m floodlit Dendix main slope, a 60m Dendix slope and a 40m nursery slope.  The main dry slope includes a permanent kicker, quarter pipe and ride-on boxes as well as moveable elements brought in for a Monday.

There are Poma tow lifts servicing the main slopes and travelator for beginners on the nursery slope. Tuition is offered from beginner to advanced skill level, as well as race training. The centre is open to Club members and non-members, but Club members benefit from free slope access.

Glasgow Ski Centre’s Junior Race Training Programme is run by some of the highest qualified coaches in the country and is an integral element of the Centre.
