Learning
Millions of people have only learned to ski, and then ended up heading to the mountains, because they could first learn affordably and close to home at a dry ski slope. Few hard stats on this are available but at the small KidSlope, which opened in Denver in 1990, and operated for around 20 years, over 50,000 children learned-to-ski and annual skier visits were approximately 20,000 at the peak of its popularity. This included over 10,000 Denver Public School (DPS) students visiting each year as part of Denver Public School’s physical education curriculum.
