Norfolk Snowsports Club Makes Major Slope Upgrade
Norfolk Snowsports Club has begun a significant upgrade of its nursery slope as part of a wider spring–summer maintenance programme, installing a new Proslope surface designed to transform the experience for first‑time skiers and snowboarders.
The project marks a strategic investment in what the club describes as “the very first turns” — the crucial early stage where confidence, technique and enjoyment are shaped.
According to Proslope, the installation represents more than a routine surface refresh. The new material is engineered to offer a smoother, more predictable ride, helping beginners progress more quickly while reducing the physical effort required to get moving.
Key benefits of the new surface include a consistent, confidence‑building feel underfoot, lower friction for easier sliding and faster skill development, rReduced water usage and simpler upkeep during warmer months and a durable, year‑round surface designed for long‑term performance
By completing the upgrade ahead of the next busy season, Norfolk Snowsports Club aims to deliver a more engaging and accessible introduction to snowsports for newcomers.
Proslope said it was “proud to welcome Norfolk to the growing network of centres adopting the technology” and looks forward to seeing the impact on beginner participation.
