A new urban snow hub, complete with a Neveplast artificial ski slope, is taking shape in Romania.

“Gușterland” is now home to a 3,000 m² ski slope and three Tubby slides designed for both training and recreation on Neveplast surfaces.

Located in Sibiu, an elegant university city in the heart of Transylvania, the cutting-edge installation combines sport, entertainment and technology and has just been completed.

The centre features a 170-metre-long ski slope and three Tubby tracks. Two of these are straight 76-metre lines, the other an 88-metre run with banked curves.

The complex is located within “Gușterland,” a new adventure park commissioned by Sibiu City Hall, developed on a previously unused area of the northern Gușterița hill and approved by residents through a public vote. Construction began in July 2024 with the aim of creating a major outdoor destination while preserving the natural landscape.

Located just 4 km from Sibiu’s historic centre and spanning around 300,000 m², Gușterland offers more than just skiing and tubing. It includes family-friendly activities, walking trails, picnic areas, panoramic terraces, and a multifunctional pavilion with food-service facilities.

The Neveplast layout is designed to balance education and enjoyment. The ski slope supports lessons and technical camps, while the Tubby tracks offer safe, varied runs. This dual-purpose setup serves residents, schools, and athletes—enabling year-round training and play, even in warmer months.

With construction now complete, Neveplast celebrates a vision realised. In Gușterland, snow and fun become part of everyday urban life: Sibiu skis all year round, blending play, performance, and a commitment to a greener future.
