8-Year-Old Snowboard Prodigy Soars to Stardom at Indoor Ski Facility
An eight-year-old girl has become the toast of China’s snow sports scene after nailing a daring 14-metre big air jump—an extraordinary feat that catapulted her into the national spotlight. Her achievement not only reflects remarkable talent, but also years of dedicated support from her parents and cutting-edge training at one of the world’s most advanced dry ski facilities.
Her journey began with a carefully chosen training environment. After exploring options across China, her parents selected SNOW MONKEY’s patented dry ski surface, airbag system, and coaching design to cultivate her skills from an early age. She’s now being hailed as one of China’s most exciting young snowboarding prospects.

Her training ground is the Lingdong Extreme Ski Club, located in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Opened in 2021, the centre claims to be the largest indoor dry slope ski resort in the world, combining ski school operations, park features, retail, and athlete training zones into a sprawling 2,000-square-metre complex. The resort, designed and built by SNOW MONKEY, includes a three-metre knuckle big air, technical jib areas, and a large public slope—all aimed at nurturing emerging talent in a climate-resilient, indoor environment.
As more young athletes chase high-flying dreams, this pint-sized powerhouse serves as a thrilling reminder of what’s possible with a little vision, a lot of determination, and the right support system.
