Neveplast Opens First Ski Slope in China
Cutting-Edge Italian dry slope company Neveplast has transformed China’s White Deer Studio Amusement Park with a new year-round ski slope. ,
The park is located 40km east to Xi’an, the home of the world famous Terracotta Warriors, and opened its new year-round Neveplast ski slope officially to the public on September 15, 2024.
The new Neveplast slope is 150 meters long and 42 meters wide, providing a skiable surface of 7,000 square meters, and is served by a conveyor lift. The area is located right next to Bailuyuan Studios, a sort of Movieland where numerous successful films and TV series, including White Deer Plain, are filmed.
The ski project developed by Neveplast was not built from scratch but involved an innovative enhancement of a pre-existing natural slope. In the past, the ski slope was only accessible during the winter months, generally from December to February, as it relied exclusively on natural snow. With the installation of Neveplast technology, the ski area has become usable year-round.
“With the objective to fully capitalize on our rental ski equipment and our ski instructors, and to meet the local ski learning demand, we decided to upgrade our slope into a year-round ski slope,” said Mr. Li Longan, the GM of White Deer Studio Park, adding, “We selected Neveplast, the world leading artificial ski track producer as our supplier partner after it beat other suppliers through the stringent bidding process. After the installation of the Neveplast slope, we find that the performance of Neveplast slope exceeds our expectations so we are very satisfied with Neveplast products.”
The grand opening of the Four Seasons Ski Resort at Bailuyuan Film and Television City marked a significant milestone in the development of this area. The event, attended by key local authorities, ski enthusiasts, and major media, highlighted the resort’s collaboration with Neveplast, a renowned Italian company, the world leader in the year-round ski slope industry.

Neveplast was installed directly on the pre-existing natural ski slope serving a dual purpose. During the winter, when it snows, skiers can ski on the natural snow that accumulates on top of the Neveplast surface. However, if the amount of snow is insufficient, skiing can be done directly on Neveplast, ensuring uninterrupted operation. This system provides a significant advantage for the resort, eliminating the risk of early closures or shortened seasons due to a lack of snow. The slope will also be used year-round.
“The Neveplast ski slope has been met with great enthusiasm, recognized as a world-class attraction that further enriches the historical and cinematic heritage of the area. In China, Made in Italy is particularly appreciated, and Neveplast represents a prime example of Italian excellence. Thanks to the quality and innovation of its products, deeply rooted in Italian design and engineering, Neveplast has distinguished itself in the global market, offering cutting-edge solutions that guarantee an unparalleled skiing experience,” a Neveplast spokesperson commented.
