Lifttrax Mats For Ski Skiers At New German Lift
A new gondola lift on the Ochsenkopf in Germany’s Fichtelgebirge went into operation just before Christmas, replacing a lift that had been operating for 32 years.
The new lift features a wide dry slope surface using Lifttrax SP glide mats from Skitrax at the exits of the lift, to enable sit-skiers to glide quickly onto the piste with their sit ski immediately after exiting their cabin.
The new lift on the north side of the Ochsenkopf near the municipality of Bischofsgrün comprises 40 ten-passenger gondolas, which are also designed for families with push chairs as well as wheelchair users and sit skiers.
The new lift allows visitors to reach the 1024-metre-high mountain more comfortably, quickly and barrier-free. The gondolas have a transport capacity of around 2000 people per hour.
Skitrax already have successful installations of Lifttrax SP at the Tyrolean ski resorts of Kaunertal Glacier and Axamer Lizum.
