Proslope Announces Major Product Enhancements

The next generation snowsports surface Proslope has unveiled a number of new enhancements for 2024, alongside new slope installations.

The improvement include a new installation system making it even quicker for a ski centre to switch its surface to Proslope, an enhanced misting system and a re-engineering of the polymers in the Proslope base material to make it even more responsive.

“Our product was already next generation when it launched, thanks to its unique design, but now this marks the next chapter where we are raising the bar even further, whilst remaining extremely price competitive,” said Proslope’s Andy McPhail.

Faster Installation

Proslope Connect is a revolutionary new clip system that has transformed the process of synthetic ski surface integration. Proslope’s new clip has significantly reduced the time it takes for facility rollout of Proslope.

The connection speed of Proslope surfaces is notably enhanced, streamlining the installation phase. This innovation incorporates a robust and precise clip mechanism, surpassing the efficacy of traditional connection methods.

Additionally, the clip system contributes to the visual appeal of the synthetic ski slope by ensuring even spacing between mats, resulting in a more aesthetically pleasing and seamlessly integrated facility.

Softer Landings

The Impact Absorbent feature in Proslope is a testament to the company’s commitment to safety and performance. Through a sophisticated 2-layer system, Proslope lays above a specialised impact absorbing enkadrain material, elevating any ski centre’s safety standards.

This combination creates a softer and safer landing surface, offering enhanced protection for skiers and snowboarders.

Moreover, the system’s efficiency in draining water down the slope is optimised, thanks to the tailored enkadrain material. This ensures that the mist system operates at its peak, providing a superior experience for both athletes and facility operators.

Atomised Mist System 2.0

There’s also a comprehensive upgrade to Proslope’s custom atomised water mist system. The system’s adaptability is significantly improved with a clip-fit design that seamlessly integrates with the underside of our surface.

This innovation eliminates the need for gaps between Proslope mats, resulting in a visually cohesive and aesthetically superior synthetic ski slope.

Beyond its aesthetic benefits, the integrated mist system enhances safety as it does not protrude from the profile. All this is combined with supreme water distribution and an overall reduction in water consumption.

Re-engineered Base Material

Proslope Flex marks a significant advancement in the engineering of synthetic ski surfaces, the company says. Through the re-engineering of the polymers in the Proslope base material, every Proslope mat now forms a part of a more compliant ski surface. This innovation allows for a nuanced response to the landscape, enabling slight undulations in the facility’s base.

The improved flexibility ensures a better fitment onto the terrain, creating a more natural and dynamic skiing experience.

“Proslope Flex represents an innovative advancement of material science to enhance the overall performance and adaptability of our synthetic ski surface moving forwards,” added Andy, concluding,

“It’s a really exciting time for us right now as we’re in deep discussions with a host of UK facilities who are absolutely blown away by our product, how it skis and the huge reduction in injuries at centres that have it.”
