A Second Snobahn Indoor Centre Coming to Colorado

Snobahn, an indoor dry ski centre which opened in Centennial, Colorado in 2016 has announced a second location is to open in a former department store.

The former Stein Mart store in Thornton will become the second location of Snobahn, with a footprint of 36,000 square feet and is expected to open in February.

The space is more than double the size of Snobahn’s Centennial location.

“Action sports in general, people have a lot of trepidation or anxiety about entering those sports and we try to lower the barriers, hold people’s hands, shepherd them into the sport,” Snobahn founder Sadler Merrill told local media, saying his conveyor slopes are accessible and affordable for snow sports training at all levels.

Merrill added that in an hour you can ski up to 21,000 vertical feet on the conveyor machines and said that while the core business is beginners, clients  include the University of Denver and Team Summit for training. He hopes to open more Snobahns in the future and is currently looking at a location in Texas.

Along with conveyor slopes, Snobahn offers fixed dry slopes with jumps into foam pits as well as trampolines for freestyle training.
